The latest WPT event is underway in Barcelona. The World Poker Tour starts their tenth season with this Spanish event. Poker players from around the world will compete for big cash prizes and poker fame in the event. A total of 94 poker players signed up to play in the € 3,500 buy-in main event of the WPT Barcelona, and after the first day there were only 54 players left to carry on. The World Poker Tour event will play down to the final six players, which will then finish in the final TV table, filmed for later broadcast in the United States and elsewhere.

The first ever WPT Seminole event will come down to six players at the final table. The actual final table holds ten players, but once it is down to six it is called the TV table. The TV table will be the final players who will appear on the broadcast of the World Poker Tour show. This is the first TV table for the Florida WPT event. The final poker pros at this poker tournament are: Taylor Von Kriegenbergh, Justin Zaki, Abbey Daniels, Allen Bari, Tommy Vedes and Curt Kohlberg.

The first ever Florida WPT event has wrapped on Day Two. The World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Showdown totaled up at 433 poker players, including a few last minute registrations. At the end of Day Two of the World Poker Tour event there were only 147 players left. Todd Terry stands tall as the chip leader at the end of the day with 296,400, while Charles Wiper is in second place with 273,100. Steven Levy rounds out the top three chip leaders with a stack of 247,300.

This week marks the first time the WPT will play in Florida. The poker game will take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Showdown starting on April 27. Near Hollywood, Florida, the event will take place in the home state of poker pro Mike Mizrachi, also known as the Grinder. Other poker players who are fellow pros like Mat Affleck and Scott Montgomery have confirmed they will attend the World Poker Tour event. Poker players will compete in the $10,000 buy-in event for major cash prizes and a seat into the WPT grand finale later in the year.

The latest poker company to put an online poker game on Facebook is the WPT. The World Poker Tour game is by Hands-On Entertainment. The company made the announment that poker players would be able to find their WPT fix on Facebook from now on. The game is called the WPT® Texas Hold 'Em Poker game. Players can play to win an All-Access VIP Pass and prize pack for two to the WPT World Championship, which will take place in Las Vegas at the famous Bellagio

When thinking of Gus Hansen most think of poker, but the poker pro has decided to use his clout to sponsor the national Danish squash team. Those who know the poker pro, from his onlien poker exploits to his rise to fame on the WPT, may recall that the man used to be a Danish tennis player. The 37 year old loves the sport and all other racket sports. After a meeting with the Danish national team he volunteered to act as sponsor to help them.

The latest WPT winner is Dmitry Gromov. The Russian poker pro picked up the title to the World Poker Tour Vienna. His victory came on Tuesday as he picked up the €447,840 first-place prize. This poker game win is the biggest of his career, although he has had first place finishes before. All together he has over a million dollars in live tournament wins. The Vienna event drew 555 players, breaking a record for attendance at a World Poker Tour European venue and building a prizepool of €1,776,000

While many where hoping for Mike Sexton to win it was Alan Sternberg who claimed the victory at the latest WPT event. The Bay 101 Shooting Star poker game wrapped with Sternberg picking up just over one million dollars as the first place finisher. The poker pros at the table included another Mike, Mike Matusow, another favorite. Matusow was the one to eliminated Sexton, who still had a bounty on his head, putting a bonus $5,000 in Matusow’s pocket. Sexton entered as the short stack and he left first, winning $148k.

The man who has been the voice of the WPT for years will be at the TV table of one of the WPT events for the first time ever. Mike Sexton managed to final table at the Bay 101 Shooting Star event. The poker pros at the table will have their work cut out for them - Sexton is not called the Ambassador of Poker for no reason. While Sexton won’t have an easy time of it during the poker game as he is starting as the lowest chip stack, he is an experienced poker pro and has a good shot at bringing home a win.

The WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star is down to its final players and a number of poker pros still have a price on their heads. The WPT Bay 101 is a bounty tournament where one pro sits at each table with a $5k bounty to any player who knocks him or her out of the poker game. As the last day begins the pros left alive are Mike "The Mouth" Matusow, WPT host Mike Sexton and a former Bay 101 runner-up, Kathy Liebert, who made her play in the Seventh Season of the popular World Poker Tour.
