A new division has been created for poker company HeadsUp Entertainment. HeadsUp is the operator of the Canadian Poker Tour as well as other concerns. Poker players participate in the poker tour and learn about it via the Canadian Poker Player Magazine, also owned and run by HeadsUp. The new division of HeadsUp will cover all poker related concerns, including the Canadian Poker Player Television Network. The division is so new there is not a clear leader as of yet, according to Kelly B. Kellner, President and CEO of HeadsUp Entertainment International, Inc, who said they are looking for a person to serve as president of the new division.

Second to Last Stop for France Poker Tour

Marseille will be the next and almost final stop of the 2011 France Poker Tour. The action will kick off during Easter Weekend. Poker pros and poker players will gather for the event, hoping to win a seat to the sixth grand final of the poker championship of France. The final event will take place at the Aviation Club de Paris, a popular destination venue for poker tours. The grand final of the France Poker Tour will have a prize pool of € 1 million.

EPT Berlin Fields 773 Players

As the second day of the start of the EPT Berlin wraps the numbers have come in as to just how many poker players signed up to play. With 773 total players across the first two qualifying days the poker game falls short of last year's number of 945. By the end of th day there were only 202 players remaining, with the poker tour leader Sander Berndsen ringing in over 200k in chips. Anticpated deep players like Liv Boeree, Kevin McPhee, Annette Obrestad and Tony G have all been eliminated.

The highly anticipated India Poker Open will kick off in May. The details of the poker tour have just been announced. The first poker event will start May 12 in Goa while the main event will start on May 14. The main event will be a $2,300 game with poker plaeyrs have the option of playing in three other events during the India Poker Open. The three other events are a $115 no-limit holdem rebuy and $230 no-limit hold’em freezeout as well as a $335 pot-limit Omaha tournament.

Vienna on WPT Circuit

The first ever visit by the WPT to Vienna is coming soon. Poker players will be able to qualify for prize packages to Vienna at various online poker rooms. The poker game will be held in Vienna starting on Friday with a €300 buy in event and will wrap up with a €3,500 main event. The World Poker Tour has continued to add events in Europe and other locations to lend validity to it's name after years of a mostly US based circuit. Moon has been heard to say he would never sign with an online poker room because he was self employed and would not want a boss. In the United Kingdom two poker tours start this week. The poker tours will start within one day of each other. The UKIPT and the GUKPT will both be welcoming poker players in the UK. The second leg of the 2011 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) is the first poker game to kick off, playing at the Grosvenor Victoria casino in London.
