The Los Angeles Angels are back in their familiar spot atop the AL West, a position they plan to hold on to this time. Bobby Abreu hit a two-run homer, Scott Kazmir won for the third time in four starts and the surging Angels beat the Oakland Athletics 4-2 on Monday night for their season-best sixth straight victory.
