Lindsey Vonn began these Olympics with a shin so badly bruised she didn't know if she could compete. She did, winning two medals -- with the aid of painkillers and numbing cream. After her crash in Wednesday's giant slalom, her Vancouver Games looked like it just might be over with a broken right pinkie.
