West Virginia turned to Da'Sean Butler for another late comeback. The veteran guard scored a season-high 27 points, including the go-ahead basket with 16 seconds remaining, as No. 9 West Virginia rallied to beat Louisville 77-74 on Saturday. Butler is the biggest reason why the Mountaineers (17-3, 6-2 Big East) have won four straight.

Hard-luck Marquette finally won a close game on the road. Jimmy Butler's driving shot with 2.4 seconds left gave the Golden Eagles a 70-68 win over No. 19 Connecticut on Saturday. It was the team's first road win of the season, and helped ease the sting of five Big East losses that have come by a total of 11 points.

Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green was suspended for three games by the NHL on Saturday for elbowing Florida Panthers forward Michael Frolik in the head. Green delivered the hit in Friday's 4-1 win over the Panthers. Frolik was not seriously injured and Green was given a minor penalty for elbowing on the play.
